The aims of the Henlow Middle School PTA are to raise funds to provide extra resources, organise social and educational events and encourage closer partnership between parents, pupils and the School. Last year our goal was to raise enough money to allow the School to replace their minibus.
In the end, we raised £17,356 of which £14,000 was added to previously raised funds to help purchase the minibus in June. Many thanks to everyone who contributed time or money to help us to achieve our target.
In previous years, we have bought a sanding machine, ceiling projectors, sewing machines, Yamaha keyboards, a cricket scoreboard, pupils' planners, leavers' dictionaries and contributed towards the purchase of interactive whiteboards.
None of this could have been accomplished without YOUR involvement. Even if you don't actively help organise or run events, the fact that you turn up to them, buy raffle tickets or sponsor the Annual Fun Run means that you are directly contributing to a better environment for your child.
All members of the Committee are volunteer parents and teachers who happily give up their free time to help the PTA run smoothly. We do need extra help at many events, so if you feel you can give up even an occasional hour, do please look at the 'How to Help' section. You may even find you enjoy yourself as well!
So, if you have any fund raising ideas, or would like to help at any events, please come to the next meeting, contact us via the School or email us.
