Staff Vacancies

Henlow is a highly popular and successful, purpose-built middle school located in an attractive rural setting in the middle of Bedfordshire.  It is one of the 134 Church schools within the Diocese of St. Albans.  The Governing Body recently voted in favour of converting to become an Academy, and an application has been submitted to the Department of Education (DfE).

The catchment area of the School covers the Parishes of Henlow (including Henlow Camp), Clifton, Langford and Meppershall.  We work very closely with the five lower schools located in those villages, from whom we receive most of our children.  We also have good, collaborative working with the other lower, middle and upper schools within our Learning Community.

As a school, Henlow has high expectations and sets very high standards.  Our mission statement is “Aiming for Excellence”.  We aim to provide a caring, safe, happy environment in which children’s learning can be nurtured; and in which all staff can work effectively as part of a friendly and supportive team.

 

Deputy Headteacher

We wish to appoint a suitably experienced, inspirational and ambitious Deputy Headteacher, to play a key role in the leadership and development of our school. Responsibilities will include the leadership and management of teaching, learning and assessment.

The vacancy provides an excellent opportunity to become a member of a friendly supportive and dedicated team, and for anyone who has aspirations towards an eventual headship.
