The Governors voted in favour of converting to Academy status in May 2011. The Diocese of St Albans gave their approval in July 2011.
An application was submitted to the DfE and the Secretary of State for Education issued our School with an Academy Order on 13th September 2011.
The School is now working with solicitors, the Diocese and colleagues within the Local Authority, in order to carry our all of the necessary legal tasks to enable successful conversion to take place.
We hope that Henlow V. C. Middle School will become “Henlow Church of England Academy” on 1st February 2012.
